Shocking Miami Arrest: US Marshals Detain Tate Brothers Outside Bare-Knuckle Event as UK Files 38 Additional Rape and Trafficking Counts

Miami, Florida — Influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested by U.S. Marshals on Saturday evening outside a bare-knuckle boxing event in Miami, as British authorities move to extradite them on dozens of new sexual offense charges.The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed the brothers were taken into custody on a sealed warrant linked to a U.K. extradition request.

British prosecutors announced the fresh charges on Saturday. Andrew Tate, 39, faces 32 additional counts, including seven more of rape, three of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and 19 related to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate, 38, faces six new counts, including two of rape, one of sexual assault, and three of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The alleged offenses span from July 2010 to August 2017 and involve multiple women.

The arrests mark the latest chapter in a long-running international legal saga. The Tate brothers, who hold dual U.S. and British citizenship, moved to Romania in 2016. They were arrested there in December 2022 on similar allegations of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Romania approved their extradition to the U.K. in 2024, but proceedings were delayed while Romanian cases continued. The brothers had recently been allowed to travel and were in the United States when detained.

In June 2026, a U.K. High Court judge rejected the Tates’ attempt to force prosecutors to reveal the identities of their accusers before they return to Britain. The court ruled that disclosure could occur upon their arrival in the U.K. to protect the alleged victims.

The brothers have consistently denied all allegations, describing the cases against them as politically motivated attacks. Their legal team has previously stated they intend to fight the charges vigorously.The dramatic timing of the arrest — outside an event the Tates were expected to host alongside former UFC champion Jon Jones — has fueled intense online debate.
